Sunburst conservatories are more often referred to as Gable-end conservatories. Sunburst conservatories are actually said to date back to the Georgian period, or at least a variant of what the Georgian style produced.
The most distinctive difference with this Georgian style conservatory that we refer to as sunburst, is that the front of the roof doesn’t slope upward to the centre of the conservatory.
A sunburst conservatory is usually square or rectangular in style, much like the Georgian conservatories it’s based on. This shape allows the user to make the most of the space inside, making them incredibly versatile, allowing users to use them as sun rooms as well as rooms for entertaining.
The sunburst or gable-end roof allows for maximum light too while the high roof gives that feeling of extra space. Sunburst conservatories can give your home a real feeling of grandeur and will often make a stunning impact on the home, both inside and out.
